The plane didn't crash, we weren't hijacked and we all survived the trip (barely!). After spending waaay to much time in a plane we landed at LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) at 8ish am (American time) on the 4th of December. Thats right guys...we get to relive the past 24 hrs...trippy as. We arrived at about 3:30am Aus time.
The flight over was relatively painless. Mum had her vegemite confiscated at Sydney because apparently its a liquid but its ok cause we snuck a tube of it through. After getting through security we waited for the plane and I realised that I had alot of liquids that I hadnt declared (an assortment of makeup items) so we found a flaw in the system.
The first half of the plane trip was great. The plane was pretty empty so we had a couple of seats each and we got to sleep in a relatively comfortable way (as comfy as you can be in economy with a tiny pillow, blanket, and a sister who wants to lay all over you). We arrived in Tahiti for our plane change at let me tell you how glad we were that we were only there for 40 minutes. It was hot and humid and it was 11pm! And, on top of that, the airport was not a smoke free zone! They all spoke French and i realised i probably should of paid more attention in primary school when nlearning French.
The flight for Tahiti to America was alot fuller so we couldnt have extra seats. We watched a movie and then tried really really hard to sleep. We succeeded at times but mostly we failed and got sore necks.
We arrived in America (YAY!! no more planes for a week or so) and they took our fingerprints and a photo of our eye. Aus doesnt even have my fingerprints but now America does so no crime for me. The immigration card we had to fill out made me laugh. It asked us if we were planning on doing anything illegal or planning on participating in immoral activities. It also asked us if we have ever or are planning on participating in terroroist activities or were in anyway invloved with the Nazi's between 1935 and 1945. Because, you know, if I was I'm stupid enough to tick the YES box. Idiots. I guess cause they ain't that bright they just assume that everyone else is a little stupid as well.
We got through customs, no hassle. They didn't ask to check our bags or anything, we just walked right through and then waited for our shuttle bus. And that pretty much brings you up to speed. We're sitting in the hotel room having showers while Dad picks up the car and we're about to hit Universal Studios. It's now my time for the shower!

well you sound like you got a better deal than I did - I was lying on the floor throwing up for a good part of the ride. Have some fun for me - I reckon you'll have enough to share.
