So it’s Saturday night and we’re all pretty exhausted. Tamika is on the bed next to me and she’s totally lost it, laughing at EVERYTHING!! The blog I posted last night didn’t work so lets start again.
The first two days we were here we hit Universal Studios (4th and 5th December). There were no lines so we totally rocked the joint. The first ride we did was the House of Horrors and it totally scared the living daylights out of all of us. We didn’t realize it would be so scary. The rest of the rides were great as well… with the Simpsons ride definitely taking the cake. The joy of the ride without actually leaving the safety of a little cart. It was a fantastic time. We met a couple of characters, Marge and Homer, Spongebob, Scooby-Do, the Blues Brothers among others.
We found these incredibly large toffee apples, or as they call them over here, caramel apples. We took a photo of it and Tamika bought one, a cookies and cream one. It was crazy.
That night for dinner we ate tacos from Taco Bell. We all ate dinner and it cost the family $10! Talk about crazyily cheap.
After the 5th where we hit Universal Studios we headed to San Diego. They have massive freeways here. Like there’s 5-8 lanes going each way. Massive. And you know what sucks? It’s bumper to bumper when there’s traffic. Imagine 6 lanes, both ways, with bumper to bumper traffic.
We’re so glad we brought the GPS as well. Otherwise we would already be totally stressed and possibly dead after Dad killed us with frustration. Driving on the road is wacked out. Right side and all…Dad isn’t coping all that well.
Today (6th) we headed to Mexico for the day. Let me tell you it was CRAZY!! To get into to Mexico you merely have to walk across a bridge. We were then attacked by the locals trying to pull us into their stalls and sell us stuff at extremely exorbitant prices. BARGAINING for us. It was totally exhausting. You walk, they attack; you sit, they attack; you buy, they attack; you walk away, they attack, you say no, they STILL attack. It’s totally crazy. We got some guy down from some ridiculous expensive price to something a little more affordable. People came from everywhere to try and get you into their shops. Madness with a capital M.
Getting back into the USA was ridiculous. We had to wait in this line for an entire hour! Stupid. But we got back so no being stuck in Mexico for us J
Well that’s about it from me for now…exhausted and about to hit the sack while watching High School Musical 1 with these funky subtitles which provide totally useless information. It’s great!!
Tomorrow we head to Las Vegas where we are totally going to gamble away everything we own. JOKES!!
